Recently, Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) received an award for "excellence in career and technical education" from the Indiana Department of Workforce Development for their partnership with Ivy Tech Community College in which NIPSCO helped develop training to address present and future energy industry employment needs. These programs provide hands-on experience and classroom instruction that will prepare you for a career in:

• Electric Line Technology:
  power line worker
• Power Plant Technology:
  plant mechanic, electrician  or power plant operator
• Gas Technology:
  gas serviceperson, welder, equipment operator, pipe mechanic or construction mechanic
