Experience the energy of our
Information Technology careers
As a leader in the energy industry, and home to one of the nation’s largest integrated energy delivery systems, NiSource offers experienced professionals a variety of opportunities related to Information Technology management and governance. This is a place where you can make the most of your technical savvy, business acumen and leadership abilities.
As a NiSource IT professional…
you won’t be spending your days writing code and building applications. Instead, you’ll use your talents, training and experience to manage key IT projects, interface with software vendors, develop long-term strategies and help ensure system-wide security. We outsource most hands-on IT functions, such as programming, applications development, infrastructure operations and network services. But, if you have several years’ experience, we offer exciting high-level planning, management and leadership roles that lead to career success.
Our IT job requirements
Along with technical savvy and a can-do attitude, the strategic thinkers we’re looking for will generally need:
- a bachelor’s or advanced degree in IT, computer science, business administration or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience that includes managing complex IT projects
- strong customer focus
- excellent organizational, communication and decision-making skills
- the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
If you’re excited about taking on the challenges that will help us drive the future of energy and keep our critical systems secure, we have the IT career for you.
